they are beadlocks - they stop the tyre coming off when running low pressure off-road - they are of dubious legality on road as you are not supposed to modify wheels - it invalidates the standards that they are are made to

the first thing to check for is oil in the red ecu plug - if there's any there most people change the injetor harness but i don't see why replacing the o rings where it goes through the head won't fix it - and it's cheaper - one of the few parts you can get from a main dealer for a couple of...

i also use lrdirect or totalparts as they give you the option of different manufacturers but for the pedal box i would recommend the x engineering one (who have now been taken over by foundry4x4) - you can also get them on ebay i think they fit all up to TD5 (not puma) but i do like...

if it worked - it's right i remember doing a similar thing years ago (not on a land rover) with a length of rope and numerous waggoners hitches interesting to see that ratchet straps are taking over in all areas :D

i've only had the land rover since december - i intended to go - i even booked time off work as you have to get your hoidays in early but at the moment the van will only run for about 15-20 minutes then it cuts out i suspect injector o rings and washers - which i have - i'm just waiting...

there are 3 types of injectors fitted to the TD5 - when you read the injector codes with a nanocom there is a button labeled 'INJ. TYPE' - if you press it a few times the last figure cycles through the 3 - they all mean the same thing Type 1 Type2 Type3 C M 0 A E 1 B F 2 C G 3 * H 4...

i had one fitted before christmas and was charged £65 for the glass - it's a TD5 with electric windows it's clear - where the others have a green tinge - and possibly thinner as it used to pull out of the regulator when it was icy i stuck a couple of pieces of duck tape where it fits in...
