Another one to add to the list :O - L322 water ingress !

Hi Ellis Pollen filter was my thought when I suggested the heater box area. The pollen filter looked like an area for problems when I serviced mine back in April. Alan

    Multi changer

I had the same problem with my multi-changer. I just kept pushing the eject button until one of us gave up, eventually the multi-changer ejected the cassette. Just checked the cassette and discs were fine, refitted and ejected the cassette several times all ok.

    Why try & make a P38 into a L322?

The Range Rover critics always said that you could see the shut lines on the Classic from the moon. But.... This conversion......you could see the shut lines from Mars:hysterically_laughi

    Turbo Failure

Do yourself a favour, as the bearing has collapsed, Id remove and clean out the intercooler, as it would have most certainly passed oil into the inlet side of it. Alan

    Turbo Failure

Bearings normally collapse over time this is due to lack of sufficient lubricant reaching the bearings when the engine has been turned off and the turbo is still spinning at 100k. All turbo's fail eventually, but leaving them to idle with the engine running just helps them to live longer. Alan

Pre fuel pressure circuit fault, anyone have experience?

When you say gunk in the tank, I take it your vehicle is a diesel! If so are you using bio diesel or ULSD fuel in your tank. Alan

    Probable Transfer Box issues

When I had my 4th RR Classis my VCU seized. I bought mine from Ashcroft, it's all there just a matter of pulling the old transfer box off and fitting the new one add oil and your back up and running. I did have to send my knackered unit back to them. Alan

    Brake Pad sensors

Spot on about sliding callipers, I came across these fitted to Austin 1100 & 1300's, but then you only found them on small cars.

    Brake Pad sensors

There was a big change to wiring in sensors in the car industry some years ago, when they moved from all pads having sensor wires to just 1 side, it was also about the time they changed from dual/four piston fixed calipers to single / twin sliding calipers as a cost thing. Alan
