Just back from 15 days away with the caravan, we 935 miles of trouble free motoring in our L322. Call me paranoid but it is the first time I have ever carried my lap top, and comms lead, but you never know.

Hi all, just an update to my diesel smell, it turned out to be a perished rubber hose on the pipe that comes from the filter to the inlet side of the diesel pump. tried to get a replacement with no luck. Pirtek did a great repair on the ipe for only £11.97. No smell of diesel now.

I have a simular problem, but mine is on both sides between the inner shield and the sill which looks like a definate water trap. I've had a push and gentle prod, but mine will be removed with a wire cup brush, then treated and painted, once the weather gets better.

Disagree Steve, it depends on your purchase or luck, I've owned Classic's, a Disco, a P38 & now a L322 and I'm still smiling:D.

Just remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder;). Colour looks good, but the wheels wouldn't have been my choice.

My handbrake is crap as well, but looking at the number of you saying the same thing it must me par for the course. Anyway mine just passed the MOT this month, in all honesty I was expecting it to fail. My MOT tester did say that all the Rangie's he tests regarding the handbrake are a challenge...

I went from a diesel P38 last year to a diesel L322 and haven't looked back. As for towing a caravan, mine is a 1900kg twin axle, the experience is that you don't know it's on the hook. With the P38 I always felt I had to keep pushing it to stay at 56mph, but the L322 it's more of a light...

Hi Hippo Tell me about it, there has been a slight smell of derv for some months now, but no visable puddles of the stuff on the floor, and top end is all dry. I suppose I was hoping to find a perished leak off pipe. Alan

I normally leave mine on tick over once the filter is primed and that clears any trapped air. I would only look at cracking off injector pipes if I had removed them. Also there is a lot of fuel pressure there, I beleive it's around 1350 bar.

Surley as these heads are ali they can suffer from warping!

Hi, all Rangie's have their own idiosynchrasies, and I think everyone on here knows there problems. But hey it's a Range Rover, enjoy it, because if we all went out worrying about what's waiting around the corner to go wrong we would all be driving something else or just be nervous wrecks.

My one does what ever it feels like, some days the drivers one is in and straight out, other days it works properly. The N/S one comes in, but needs a helping hand to go back out. Just another one of those tempermental things.
