I use gear and rope grease made or supplied by ambersil it can be bought in aerosol form and is very thin out of the can but once the thinners have evaporated of you are left with a very robust covering of thick grease which last for ages just top up now and then on dry days Engineer:):)

Td5 manual 2000 went to unlock this morning no go thought fob battery must be going although light on fob illuminates, anyway nothing worked so opened door with key alarm went off pressed open on fob which reset alarm, shut door locked with fob now it all seems o.k. Any thoughts...

My td5 leaks occasionally from the seal around the top of the rear door is a new seal the only answer if so best place to purchase Engineer:):)

Just got back from two weeks in wales with the old td5 not a hitch in 1300miles returned just over 30 to the gallon before we went I coated the chassis with spray grease I use on the cables on my old crane after some fairly wet and muddy conditions still seems to be a reasonable coating was...

Further developments turns out that after following advise on another thread the leek is on the pipe that goes from the left hand side of the engine bay through the front bulkhead up to the condenser behind the grille who is the best supplier of this part and how does the grille come away thanks...
