Classic Replacing dual filament incandescent bulbs with LED. Sensible?

I was not impressed with the silver bulb / pink light from the LR specification tail lights on my L322 SC so wanted to improve them but couldn’t use LED’s because of error messages from monitoring. Ended up putting Red coloured Osram bulbs for tail, brake & fog with Amber coloured bulbs for...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

MoT passed, just a rear brake calliper, two front brake pipes and a front suspension arm. Looking forward to another twelve months trouble free motoring :D. Tricky

    P38A Reversing light switch

Nobody says they’re cheap to run but why do LR need to take the p..s:mad: The OEM spec is probably going to last long enough to save you from doing the job again lol. Tricky.

    Key won’t turn

Sorry missed your post earlier, yes there are many known faults on the L322 Steering Column to be fair but reading some posts and other search info it occurs to me that some owners are too quick to replace parts when all they really need is a good battery charge and a little patience. I still...

    Key won’t turn

Hi, I had a similar issue and started by applying a little penetrating fluid in the switch before tearing the dash apart. Remarkably after some jiggling and making sure there was at least 13 volts in the battery it started to work again, took about 48 hours wait though. Let us know how you get...

Has it occurred to you that at the time of posting a question there may not be anyone free to read or answer your post? Perhaps you should search first as mentioned earlier then post your question with a little more appreciation for the help you seek! Just a thought. Back to the ignition switch...

How long have you owned this RR? :)

Every bump in the road I noticeable

Totally agree, if you buy a cheap Range it will definitely cost you in repairs. But don’t be too scared and have a good look at all the body metalwork underneath because there’s no point spending money on mechanical parts just to give them to a breakers yard at the next MoT test because you...

    Fuel gas cap

Great stuff, saved a few quid for other parts as required. Tricky :p

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That’s usually when someone’s tried to nick you wheels! At least a locking nut would keep the wheel on. Always assuming one does all the nuts up in the first place. Lucky escape either way. Tricky

Typical. Every time you just want to enjoy your labours she bites. Have now learned the hard way, callipers off and check those guides & pistons! Tricky :)

    Fuel gas cap

Very interested to hear back from you because my search resulted in a £45 price tag for a genuine cap! Tricky :(

L322 binding brakes... random and frustrating.

Rear brake callipers removed and replaced as piston was seized on one side also new pads fitted. Road tested with no squeaks or binding so happy days. Job done. Tricky :)

Loose pads it is then. Time to get stripping those callipers. Tricky ;)

    L322 Fooling the locks

Boot open, lock flicked across and enjoying the view of my front step. The Range is blissfully sleeping. I’m convinced this is a safe way to beat those battery drain fears. Top Tip - thanks kds. Tricky :)

    L322 Fooling the locks

I’ve removed the paint dip plugs before now but having tracked the water ingress it’s the random damp that still finds it’s way in. Tricky

    L322 Fooling the locks

I’ll try and remember to have a go at this next time I’m venting the boot damp lol. Tricky :(

    I love it.

Good call on the 19’s with a higher wall. That’s the benefit of the 20” too. The 22’s will always find a buyer if refurbished so easy money but it may be a lot harder to sell them when they’re freshly done, I know from experience. Tricky :)

    L322 Fooling the locks

I’ve converted my boot and tailgate bulbs to LED to reduce drain and benefited from the light being much brighter than warm glow festoon bulbs. Was relieved to find no error message on the dash. Tricky :)
