What did you do with your Range Rover today

    P38A Leather seat dye

Has anyone used these? https://www.colourlock.com I met them at Classic Car Show and have spoken to them on the phone to get my sons car done. They say that if you send a swab or even visit there office they can provide a full kit to treat 4 seats with perfect colour match for around £130. Tricky.

    I love it.

The paintwork looks great but you need to keep those door rubber seals free from grit to keep them like that long term, especially along those muddy lanes you mention. I’ve got to get the rear arches done on mine before the rot sets in. Regarding tyres the factory still put Pirelli Scorpion on...

Hello from a Range Rover dreamer!

I’m sure there’s a technical wizard out there who can do it. The market is huge if we’re to avoid scrapping 30,000,000 vehicles before their time. Tricky.

Hello from a Range Rover dreamer!

Occurs to me that you could benefit from a hybrid conversion to gain from the down hill sections. Just a thought! Tricky.

Hello from a Range Rover dreamer!

“Good point well made” as the saying goes. If the revs exceed 2000 rpm you’re in average 14 mpg territory. Add in some steep climbs and 100 litres of E10 will last less than 250 miles for sure. I did check the mpg while in rolling traffic through York and got 4.3 mpg displayed. She still puts a...

Hello from a Range Rover dreamer!

Hello and welcome, as a fellow SC owner I am somewhat biased in my advice but if you can manage the 12 to 23 MPG then enjoy. Best starting point set your budget with a few grand kept back for the first year potential surprises and look closely at the best condition and history you can find...

    A swede with a brit

Welcome to LZ, I completely agree the SC is indeed a very good hunting car, although, currently hunting for petrol in Yorkshire. Enjoy your Westminster and rest assured the various noises will disappear one by one but possibly only to be replaced by other new noises. The beauty of the engine you...

L322 A sound that shouldn't be there (?) (with sound file).

Plus one. I spent a few days trying to resolve a similar issue on my wife’s car. It’s a rotating pulse so the best way to find it is trace the noise by listening to each rotating component. It could just be the belt tensioner! At first I thought it sounded like the compressor clutch trying to...

    L322 Headlight removal 2011 L322

Great link thank you, mine is without the wipers on headlamps but I think between yours and Jon’s information I’ll be able to get the job done. I’ll post any info that I uncover. Tricky.

L322 Rear Screen Washer Leak Resolved

Hi all, wanted to share my solution to the dreaded rear screen wash leaking out of the wiper motor body. Having tried, unsuccessfully, on both my L322’s to fix leaking from this grossly over engineered system of delivering fluid to the rear window without spending £100+ on a new motor I have...

    L322 Steering ,2004 td6 vogue

Hi, sorry I don’t have the answers for you but hopefully someone else can help as I have noticed similar issues also an intermittent lumpy feedback through the steering wheel. Mine is in for MoT today so may get a report on that if significant enough. Cheers Tricky.

    Lets see your rims

Morning All, just returned to standard 21” Supercharged wheels for the winter, save the black 22” rims for the warmer months. MoT tomorrow so had a wash too. Tricky :)

    L322 Non starter, water ingress

Hi great news it’s back on the road but I agree with the dehumidifier advice as I have three permanently on rotation in the glovebox with the fuse cover off, the cabin and the NSR where the Bluetooth, sat nav etc live. That was the way I cleared my brake light on and weird electrical gremlins...

Range rover 2.7td v6 oil seal

Hi All, I wanted to add to Mark’s comment about the Loctite on the outside edge. Make sure it’s fitted straight as it could be very difficult to remove again if it leaks. Use a retaining product not a studlock grade as they cure slower and deliver a more durable seal. Good luck, Tricky.

    Heavy power steering

Thanks for your wisdom, I have noticed heavy steering so will do a check later to decide what to do with it. Cheers Tricky.
