I got bored of the leaks so I filled my spray gun with ankor wax and when I had finished the chassis I sprayed the roof (its a 1985 90 so the rook is not exactly white anymore!) and that helped alot but I do realise that some peeps have newer landys and probably care more what they look like!

So heres the deal....get your hubby to drive it whilst you find a use for that vibrating lever. It will change your perception of whether this is a problem or a blessing! Sorry - I'll get my coat:p

Bigsi, thanks - the issue is that it is right up against the weld for the suspension bracket so cleaning it up will probably require going behind the suspension bracket....I dont know this for sure....buts its my assumption! I will dig around some more and see what the damage is.

Had the drivers front whel off last night, took the opportunity to have a poke at the parts that are harder to reach. After some scraping with my srewdriver I found that there is a 5p sized hole rusted through the chassis on the vertical face just rear of where the front suspension brace...

get the bigger tyres. If cost is an issue why not get some nearly new ones on fleabay or wait for them to come up regularly on here?

Total waste of time and money

I use a MOT place in Cheltenham for my early 90 and they have never had issues with things like lack of seat belts in the back etc that other places have caused issues with. Not sure if Cheltenham is too far for you?

Where are you located? I have a set of wide AT's that are almost new - if you were near me you could come take a look.

So how can I tell what position the cam is in without borrowing my sons X-ray specs??? Sorry, but its not something I can easily tell???

To check if its off cam, I assume I can just move the landy forward whilst in gear a small distance as that will turn the cam??

Sorry for hijack...I think that my lift pump may have gone as well. When I undo the small bolt ontop of the fule filter and pump the manual lever on the fuel pump for a few mins I am unable to get any diesel out the top of the fuel filter. How long does it make manual pumping to get the diesel...
