    What sealant for engine parts?

Next job tonight is to replace fuel pump on my TDI. Had a gander at busters guide which is great. He uses a "sealant" on the pump between pump itself and the gasket before fixing it back to the engine. The sealant is orange looking - is it copper grease or something else? Thanks!

    Front prop shaft - help!

Took front prop shaft off to replace worn UJs. Marked it so I can put it back the way it came off....but forgot which way round it went! Does the grease nipple for lubing the prop itself go at the axle end or the T-box end?!!! Sorry to be a dick - having a crisis of confidence this week

    Outriggers - repair or replace?

The guy at MIB that replaced my outrigger removed the passenger footwell plate to access the top of the chassis to weld the outrigger in place. For what I paid which was around 130 or 160 including supply of the part, removal of old one and fitting I was very happy. I like doing stuff on the...

    Enduro runway all terrain tyres

I have a set of these on my 90 and they did the job well, not noisy on the road and coped quite well off road unless it was very muddy or "cleggy" (you know - clay like mud) where they could get clogged up and spin out. I am using a set of mud tyres now and they are noticably better in the mud...

My 1984 90 is somewhere around 140k but I suspect that the clock stopped working properly sometime back - started as a petrol, now a TDI.

    Tyre advise please

Kay - all terrains (ATs) will be quieter at speed, probably lower MPG and feel more car like around corners. ATs will easily handle sand arenas and even fairly deep mud so you will not have any issues. If you wanted to try out a set, I have a spare set of nearly new Enduro Runway ATs that I...

110 van for sale near me

Dr Evil - I am around the Cheltenham area and would love to meet up and head out for some off road. The only issue is that the walkers have had most of the stuff closed now so there is limited stuff to do. Drop me a PM when you are around and lets grab a beer and do what is out there

    Brand new Defender

I would want them to go back to an engine that was as easy to maintain as the Tdi's rather than continue with these TDCI things which you need to be really clever to fix. I know they are probably nicer to drive and safer for the flowers but I cant fix them!

110 van for sale near me

Out walking the dog last night and saw that a chap round the corner is selling a "52" plate 110 van. The oddo says 85k miles and he is looking for 7k. If anyone is looking for that kind of thing then I would be happy to take a quick look at the chassis and bulkhead if you wanted. Its based in...
