well wife went out in my rangt l322 and came back with the steering hard so it maybe the servotronic valve. or is it the BCU. found a valve £86 £99 for BCU. any idea with code it is for my 2002. because i find 2 codes on one is a transducer QFW500040 and QFW500050 any ideas.

sounds like a speed sensor. freelanders have this problem but not sure yours is fitted with one. have you checked for a sensor.

have you checked the hand brake shoes because some times this noise can be made if the spring clips that keep the shoes in place, could of come out. rotted away. but it does sound like the diff bearings UP DATE.......hand brake will work as normal...... ive just watched your video on the noise...

could be a diff bearing or the diff is just on its way out.but hard to say till its been looked at

turned out ok for you in the end then. well put new discs and pads on all 4 wheels.. it took a while but got there in the end. feels great now

well i ook her out for a spin and i think the noise i here is the drive chain in the transfer box its on its way out the knocking as if the prop shaft is catching up with the engine when i come to a slow down and nearlly stop i get the knocking so should i wait till it gets worse till it starts...
