    All the outer panels are alloy, the framework under them is all steel hence the rust problems. I replaced my arches here: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/how-replace-discovery-1-rear-wheel-arches-212826.html They are just spot welded and quite easy to do

    You cant weld ally to steel or vice versa, you can only screw, rivet, bolt or bond with sikaflex or similar PU adhesive

    Drivers window problem

    I did my window ECU a couple of weeks ago, it was not to bad a job, found the ECU easy it was getting the plastic front off that was fiddley. The dry joint was easy to spot and for the first time in almost 4 years my windows work :D

    Maybe some git bonded it in like I did on my sons vauxhall as he had lost the cage and he put the old radio back in as we were part exchanging it Hate to be the poor bugger that try's to remove that :D

    CB Radio - Do you use it?

    They were all the rage when I was first driving but I never had one. Have one in my Disco now for when out as a group with the local Land Rover club but tend to listen more than I do speak. It looks good on the dash all the same :D
