Even £300 sounds a lot to me, I am sure I read you can do it without taking the head off.

You cant weld ally to steel or vice versa, you can only screw, rivet, bolt or bond with sikaflex or similar PU adhesive

I did my window ECU a couple of weeks ago, it was not to bad a job, found the ECU easy it was getting the plastic front off that was fiddley. The dry joint was easy to spot and for the first time in almost 4 years my windows work :D

Yes I know its a tyre question :D Been searching for a couple of hours but cant find my answer? Just fitted some bigger tyres to my disco. The tyres are 235/85/16 Insa Turbo Dakar's I had to trim the lower front bumper and a small part of the rear arch to make sure they don't catch...

They were all the rage when I was first driving but I never had one. Have one in my Disco now for when out as a group with the local Land Rover club but tend to listen more than I do speak. It looks good on the dash all the same :D
