That is not what you think it is. It is possibly what is causing your problems. The Map sensor is a pressure operated sensor the EGR valve is vacuum operated. They cannot be interlinked.

I will be interested to know how you will fit that seeing as M51 P38s don't have them.

Voltage per cell 2.2. Cells 6. 6 x 2.2 equals 12.6. Simples.

As each battery cell is 2.2 volts after standing a while after charge or switching engine off standing charge reading should be 12.6 volts.;)
