    OBD Port and Readers

So I have a late 2001 Freelander and have tried two readers in the OBD port (I believe they are both ELM327 but I wasn't aware of there being any issues with that specific reader?). I get nothing on both of them, after trawling through service bulletins I thought I struck gold with some not...

    Troubleshooting Water Droplets

Can't say about the colour as it wasn't very much and assumed the colour of the coating of filth on the respective parts but I'll have a look tonight to see if I can see any damage to the pipes. I ruled out road moisture as it was very localised :s Just trying to rule out the possibility...

    Troubleshooting Water Droplets

So last week I was giving the beast a clean and took it out for a drive, getting back I popped the bonnet to just have a look (the thing is needing a bit of work done to it so I like to do this everytime I give it a drive to check that everything is in order). What have you done to your Freelander today

Didn't attempt it in all honesty, waiting to get my grinder back then I'll just nip it off and then probably make a better one using two bolts and a strip of metal or ratchet straps :P

    Chewed up stake nuts

As per the title, previous owner of my new toy has badly chewed up the staked nuts and I don't really want to try anything without getting a bit of advice first. 32mm socket on breakers bar just slips as the stake wasn't ground away but I'm concerned that if I ground off the stake then there...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Today has been a nightmare, started off with a view to overhaul the brakes and start replacing the clutch but that was not for happening. Ended up: 1) Releasing the bonnet after the bonnet release cable snapped at the lock no doubt. Was easy enough albeit slightly tedious. 2) Dead battery...
