    Spacers to stop tyres rubbing?

Yes ,spacers or wider offset rims would work.

Overdrive wanted for LT77 in Land Rover 127

The 1.6 is very short gearing and a Tdi doesn't rev very much. I'd need to check for certain, but I'm reasonably sure a factory 130 with a Tdi would have had a 1.4 transfer box, but this would have been the tall gear-set LT-77 with the 200Tdi or the same gearing with an R380 and a 300Tdi. I'm...

Overdrive wanted for LT77 in Land Rover 127

Which LT-77? If it is an earlier one with the shorter gearing. Just swap in a 1.2 transfer box. It'll give you similar gearing to the latter LT-77/R380 with the 1.4 transfer box. It'll be way cheaper than an over drive.

    High torque manual gearboxes

A lot of it will come down to how you drive tbh. The old Series LT-76 has a very low torque rating, yet loads of people have used Rover V8's and Tdi's with them. The R380 is rated at 380nm, about 260ft lb. Land Rover didn't fit these to the 4.6 RV8 as the 4.6 was over the torque rating. But...

    Upgrade 2008 FL2 3.2 i6 to 2014 FL2 SD4 2.2?

Speed can most certainly be felt. Looking further 0-60mph is 8.4 vs 8.7, so pretty close. However, 0-62mph is 8.9 vs 9.5 sec Only 2 mph more, but the diesel has dropped by double the amount of time. And interestingly the 3.2 has had to do a gearchange to get to 62mph, as the brouchure says...

    Upgrade 2008 FL2 3.2 i6 to 2014 FL2 SD4 2.2?

You are missing the point of the question. The op asked specifically about the 3.2 which they have now vs an SD4 they are considering. And how the performance would vary....

?? This era of black cab uses regular 7" round lights, same as a Defender, RRC, Jags, Jeeps, Triumphs, Healeys and every American car from 1940 thru 1970 and so on. Norseman said the RRC lights didn't look the same, but they are exactly the same. However, norseman also has some agenda to...

Discovery 1 & Freelander 1 have square lights too, as do most of the modern JLR products. And if you really think a p38 looks like a Metrocab, I'd suggest a visit to SpecSavers ;) And you couldn't be more wrong.... the old Black cab headlights don't just like those from an RRC, they are the...

    Chassis rot repair?

Agree to an extent. But do bear in mind you can buy a new cross member for just over £100. You can even get a galvanised crossmember with extensions for about £260. These are relatively easy to fit in situ. A chassis is going to set you back a minimum of 10 times more just for the chassis...

I woudl say you are doing very well at that mpg. Parkers says 18mpg for the 4.0 and oddly 20mpg for the 4.6 https://www.parkers.co.uk/land-rover/range-rover/station-wagon-1994/specs/ Either way, 19mpg would seem to be right on the money.

    Air to Springs

19mpg in a 4.6 p38 surely isn't low..... On a very good steady run you might see into the low 20's. With about 22mpg being as good as it'll get if you fiddle the figures a little, i.e. reset it on the move and drive only a moderate distance at light throttle and low speeds. Reality is middish...

    Air to Springs

Schrader valves are fine to prove the individual air bags are not leaking. All you do is unplug each air line to the individual airbag, which is pretty easy. Then attach the vale and use any air-compressor to inflate one at a time. If they stay inflated, then the bags and lines to them are fine...

It can get pricey.... If you need new height sensors or have any wiring issues. Also if you need to rebuild the valve block, not everyone will want to do this themselves. And some places may charge you an arm and a leg.

Yes insurance for mods. Shouldn't be an issue for the headlights, as that would have been for Type Approval. And won't be rechecked for anything you do with the vehicle. And if insured as a modification, all good. Older vehicles also don't have anyway to adjust the headlights apart from at the...

Sadly the EAS can be a pita. And while a few claim they can be reliable, they are by far the very small minority.... Anything you do to fix them, they can still go wrong. In some ways the suspension is not that complex, but if you need to sort lots of bits, it is expensive. As for coils, it...

    Chassis rot repair?

This may not be the best route, depends how much money, time and did I say money.... the op wants to spend. Rust is often nowhere near as bad as people make out, far to many drama Queens. Just a clean up and some treatment products may well keep it in check for another 10 years+ Not saying a...

    Upgrade 2008 FL2 3.2 i6 to 2014 FL2 SD4 2.2?

FL1 is a completely different vehicle, engine and gearbox though. The KV6 (as nice as they are) only makes 177bhp, so less power than even the SD4 and 53+bhp down on the 3.2 under discussion. So, I'm not sure what relevance it has in this discussion? Thanks for the brochure links. They say; 8.4...

    Upgrade 2008 FL2 3.2 i6 to 2014 FL2 SD4 2.2?

No, read the rest of what I put. Hence asking if anyone had ever raced the two. You often find a lot of interesting things on Youtube. Although I can't see much for this. A bit more searching has also said 8.4 for the 3.2 and 8.9 for the SD4, but no idea where the stats are from. One USA site...

    Upgrade 2008 FL2 3.2 i6 to 2014 FL2 SD4 2.2?

Stats online say 8.5 vs 8.7 sec to 60mph in favour of the 3.2 However, most online stats are not great as they mix up 0-60mph and 0-62mph. It also depends on the shift points too, meaning one vehicle might need an extra gear change, which could make the vehicles look closer than they really...
