Update-found out that the a in the eka code means 10.been out and done that and the car starts.however when you lock the car it reverts to the original problem meaning that if you want to use it you would have to input the code every time.can't believe that the fob is defunct as it was working...

Just been out and tried that but still no joy but thanks anyway.don't know if it helps but the red alarm light is flashing on the dash.my code is 4AA2 and everything I can see is saying it s all numbers.

Hi all,new member here.my freelanders been making a bleeping noise when I unlock it.It was working fine but just today it won't unlock on the fob.I can unlock with the key but then it won't start.I read in this forum that its the fob battery and have replaced that but still no go.another post...
