Have you got underslung tanks? If so, I would be tempted to look at that end of the system for a wire off or corroded connection.

The thing in the side of an electronic dizzy is not a Ballast but an amplifier! You will need to bypass your original ballast resistor as the correct coil to match the electronic dizzy needs a 12V supply. Cheers Chris
