    My understanding is that it heats the engine so you can have a nice warm cab and not worry about waiting for the engine to heat up to optimum temp.

    Its like the Webasto pre heater I had fitted to my X5.....Just an earlier BMW version.....The pipe is an exhaust don't be surprised if you see it bellowing out fumes from time to time.....I think it kicks in at temperatures below 5 degrees. The one on my X5 had a remote so I could start it...

    They took the prop off to replace the VCU and bearings for the 2nd time:rolleyes: Think I will check Diff mounts too after speaking to Ken at Bell. Cant remember having this drone and vibration with the original VCU tho which was also providing 4wd.:confused:

    I was all set for the fireman strikes until plans changed!! Was the worst/best time of my career tho. Always wanted a Wolf myself after that tho!! Had a smash in one on an exercise in Poland once too and they hold up really well to be fair!!

    Mild compared to what I said to the Guy Salmon dealership when my RRS blew up within a week of owning it!!!!!!!!!!! I swore I would never own another LR product!!...... But I just cant help myself!!:doh:

    I will have to make sure I don't balls it up if I do it myself!!!! I would have thought it would have been the biggest ring (outer edge of bearing) to avoid damage to the bearing?
