Have you checked the oil level, if this is low it could also cause the fault you describe. it might also be worth renewingthe oil and seeing if that make a differance before splashing out on a new box

    Arctic Heater / Eberspacher?

I would say the eberspacher, these a a good quality heater which run off diesel pumped seperately out of your tank. Not had many problems with these heaters myself and they heat most of the truck cabs in europe

    Motorised Seat Mod 4 Headroom?

I would say that fitting a non motorised seat shouldn't be a problem as the basic shell and chassis of a bog standard one and a top of the range should be the same other parts like the motor are just ad ons to it Graham

    Is this normal.

Just phoned him, according to the hand book it should only stay on for a few seconds and then go off wether you have started driving or not, so it may be worth a diagnostic check at your local landrover specialist. Graham

    Wont start

You can test the glow plugs easily by removing them, holding the main body with some grips(they get really hot) take a live feed off the pos + on the battery and put it to the screw thread on the end of the plug and then put the body off the plug to the neg -. after a few seconds the plug should...

This sounds like a very strange one!! does it have an auto box fitted if so maybe it is trying to select both forward and reverse at the same time or your diff lock could possibly be stuck in? 'Alternator Fault' message?????

sounds like the belt might have come off, because the alternator belt will probably also drive the power steering pump thus making the steering stiff. worth a look before you get the dealer to look as they charge around £60 an hour

    Coolant Problem

The brown colour is only rust very common with older engines but would also suggest a lack of anti freeze. If there are no external leaks then i would say that there is a good chance that your head gasket is leaking (check your oil level isn't too high) if thats ok then maybe its burning it. I...
