    why bother repairing the arch ? drill out the spot welds clean it up and fit a brand new arch panel, job done propper for 35 quid + the welding and paint :) a lot quicker than plating.

    panel adhesive from auto paint suppliers. it comes in a mastic tube and is for bonding in auto applications.

    the lil spring that breaks in the locking mechanism and ya can only open the door from the inside ! spring costs about 4 quid for two but they are a bitch to fit !

    i doubt the series one discos had pre-tensioners and there were D1,s that were fitted with airbags. if its gonna be a ball ache to do then ill forget it and get another dash, but being as the one i bought is brand new still packaged i would like to fit it and get the airbags some other time...
