IIRC it is 8mm spanner size that you should be able to reach in or disconnect battery, remove 2 x circlips holding top of bag and jack car up off bag to gain better access to nut? P.S. you've inflated that airbag dangerously high IMHO, they don't half explode if allowed to over inflate.

Also check your engine mountings, they have an inspection hole in the bottom of them; if the centre mounting rubber is protruding through the centre hole or there isn't a clear 10mm gap they are buggered.

It's never that time , it is the D2's best feature and a very simple system that is easily fixed. Almost certainly you have a leaky bag which are very easy to change.

Yes but the D2 ones although in the front indicator pod are actually facing to the side in it so would imagine that is how they passed the construction regs.

I had a new pre-facelift D2 and that was supplied from LR with working amber side markers, no issues with MOT in the 5 years i ran it plus every HGV in the UK has amber side marker lamps fitted by law so definitely not an issue for "vehicles used on UK roads"

Just sounds like you have 2 bulbs out, 1 sidelight n the O/S headlamp pod and one side marker lamp bulb in the N/S indicator pod. I thought the amber side marker lamps were a great feature when I had my Pre-facelift.

Disco 1? has it had the engine transplanted as the TD5 was only in D2?

Don't think your ever going to make it watertight, water will find its way in through the sills etc.

Looks like a pipe/thread protector as fitted to new replacement parts that are removed when fitting to the vehicle not something that is actually fitted to it.

People normally under estimate just how much work is in welding to be done properly and they don't understand just how much one little patch that you see can develop into quite a large area that needs repairing but i have to say on this occasion £500 per side appears quite steep. does this...
