    Air conditioning

AC is for big jessies. I have an electric window that works most of the time.

Classic Classic wiring and leccy japes-a-plenty

Yep, the diagnostic routine in the manual basically isolates all the issues. And left only one thing...LPG. Wiring was a fecking abysmal job done by a cowboy (probably blind). I just decided to rip the LPG wiring out and start again and wired up the ECU as per normal. First turn of the key and...

Classic Classic wiring and leccy japes-a-plenty

Looking like it was some really, really dodgy LPG wiring around the EFI relay. Started to rain again so I ****ed off inside.

Have great spark, but still have the low voltage on the MAF loom. I will have to trace further me thinks, air is the problem. Low voltage on the throt-pot too. Looks like I'll have to trace further and it's pishing down.

I have checked for spark, but I'm going to do it again as I feel something iffy is amiss. The plugs become damp, but not saturated. One of the wires with low voltage is the Brown\orange and Yellow\ White, which is for left bank of injectors, I think. Puzzled.

Yep I have a non start. I wanted to try everything I could think of before pestering the forum. I have spark and I have the fuel relay jumped. Plugs are damp, but no soggy. 0.2 volts on the MAF wire that should read about 4-5v iirc. Low voltage with throttle open on EFI loom No resistance...

Hi, I've been doing the ECU loom tests as per the factory manual. I'm getting very low voltages on some of the back probe tests and no resistance on a couple of tests. The ECU was tested as okay. Everything seems to lead towards the fusible links as my last hope of getting her going again...

Classic Coolant Sensor jammed, plastic guffed.

Hi, I was replacing my coolant temp sensor and it's one of the ones with the plastic body. Anyway, I can't remove it as the plastic just keeps turning and the brass does not. Is there any bodges to get it free? :)

Classic Wiper motor wiring / rewiring

The one I have fitted is STC495. I just bought one of ebay, but it may not last long. It has very little power and the park is bust as it won't return to position. I have a 92 with only 4 colours running from the loom. Mine was one of the last built before they really shoved it upmarket. It...

Classic Wiper motor wiring / rewiring

Gah! Can't find any diagrams with just Brown, Black, blue and Red wires going all the way back to 86. I'm going to have to think about this. I don't want to spunk over 200 notes on a new motor. Is there a motor repair kit available? Just a thought.

Classic Wiper motor wiring / rewiring

The older one is from a 1992 and I'm not sure about the newer one. Newer type From memory: Blue/light green goes to fast wipe red/light green goes to slow brown/light green goes to relay Green? Black/green presume earth. I don't have access to older diagrams at the moment

Classic Wiper motor wiring / rewiring

Hi folks, Does anyone know if it's possible to wire in the later type of motor into the older type? If so which wire goes where as the plug is different and the colours different. I bought what I thought was a conversion lead, but isn't. The earlier type seems to have a white plug and the...
