Ok ill have another go tomorrow, gets frustrating lol

This is weird, ive tried switching the wires around on the one light and then it only works on dip :s

When my lights are on 1 is on main beam and the other is dipped. If i flick them on to main beam the dipped one goes to main and the other one dips. Is this a case of just swapping the wires around to the light? (Bulb only goes one way!)

I shall nip it to garage and have them check it over,... Im useless with electrics

Ive put a multimeter on the battery reading 12.22.... When i start the engine it reads 13.08. Shouldn't it be higher than this? If i leave it parked up for 2-3 days my battery is dead but used daily its fine, occasionally gives a tiny struggle to start but usually its ok.

Done the one side :) was a piece of cake but took me 2 hours lol, cheers guys

I dont have the money atm moment for a nackered disco. What i do know is that the back axle is from a disco and was told nothing about the front so i take it thats still original. I have disco alloys on it and i had to grind the front ones to get them to sit flush on the hubs at front

I take it the drive shaft comes out with everything else after taking these 7 bolts out? Like i said, im a nube lol.... We all start somewhere

As they are cheap ill replace :) Its actually a 1986 90 with a discovery 200 engine in it

If im undoing them 7 bolts will i need to drain the oil from the diff? Sorry for so many questions but im a complete nube at this,... Well not a complete nube but almost lol

Ive found the answer to my question but now i have another. How well does the cheating method work when off road tackling lots of water? Will a good quality RTV be good enough to seal the cut?

Yep it pulls to the side without the bad leak. They are both leaking, it was a advisory on the mot

What do i need to fix this problem, do i just ask for swivel seals? Some of the oil is getting on the disk, would this somehow cause it to get very hot because it is and it smokes if i drive a good few miles
