temp gauge grounding problem. try clean the connectors first. if that fails swap out the gauge and see.

i believe longer shocks will allow for greater axel articulation and travel. i use the decarbon shocks on my d90. gas shocks react faster then the standard LR shocks, so that would yield a more 'plesant' ride.

anything more than a 2" lift requires you to change a lot of parts, like radius arms, prop shafts and steering track rod (the one which connects to the large ball joint to the steering box), brake pipes.... as once lifted the angle and the length of these are pretty much off and by "stretching"...

do a gear shift to all gears before moving off. works for me. usually happens on mine on a cold day. maybe it's just the gearbox oil not flowing.

Tdi if you are much into doing things yourself, simple (but not so simple), easier to fix in africa and in the desert. Td5 if most of the time you don't make your LR swim. Better highway speeds and power everything. better pick up from stand still.
