CB's were made licence free and are legal in the UK. just illegal to use them driving i imagine. not being hands free and all. Explain being able to buy one in maplin with no documentation needed :p

only the 3 doors have one, mine has one and i was told it was for a small CB radio or something like that, the hole at the bottom for the power and antenna leads to come through. Too small to fit anything else in, sunglasses wont fit.

UPDATE New VCU, the smaller metal ring on the rear part of mine decided to come off and start spinning around on the propshaft. Solution, duct tape and limp it home until a replacement came in.

+1, more of an everyday car thats easy to live with, not an extreme mud plugger

so it is tried and tested :D how do you like it? i think mine were the dreaded britpart. the stock ones are also vented so i cant see the mud being that much more of a problem. that being said i cant go offroad anyway apart from the odd wet field.

im a bit late in here but my 3 door is great. i think it looks a bit sportier than the 5 door and mine is the top of the range one with everything including heated seats, leather, heated and power fold mirrors...it goes on the doors are enormous so it can be tricky in car parks i have to admit...

i absolutely love mine. its a 3 door ES model with all the extras. its really well equipped for a 52 plate, has heated everything and is so easy to drive. its a td4 so the economy is good and with a ronbox economy, torque and power is excellent. i have some intercooler and intake modifications...

what crank case vent is on the car? is it the TD4 engine, if so you can use the BMW breather unit, doesn't clog up and much more efficient than the original one. The reason i say this is because it allows the build up of pressure in the engine to escape safely and if it gets clogged the pressure...

Mine did this when i bought it too. It was fine under about 40 but as soon as i got over that it was deafening. ended up needing a new rear diff, shafts and hubs. It was all really notchy. I wouldn't drive it front wheel drive, it can feel really floaty under acceleration, but thats my opinion...
