Thanks but I have decided to stay original. If you had shared which unit I might have been able to point you in the direction of the wiring that is required with some units to make life easier. However you seem to have sorted it somehow 👍

Took her for a little drive. Then kept her well out the way whilst manure was being dropped off for the tatties. After which I renewed the high tech solution for water ingress in rear quarter glass. :)

Yep that's where I've been searching but they're like hen's teeth. I think I struck it lucky when I found that other one.

A new electrochromic is £180 upwards. The usual culprits have them at over £300. I need to change one of mine as the glass has gone brownish. Doesn't affect ability to see but I think it's the autodim that's failed/failing. I got new old stock for the other one several years ago at £80ish off...

What I would like is to do the triangle too. Which again is a bigger job if trying to vinyl wrap. whereas finding a product that can be painted on would just mean a very neat cover job around it.

If it can break it will break when I handle things and at £180 or so for the glass I really don't want to risk it. I overcompensate with force because the 'good' arm isn't so great and I can't judge what pressure I'm using.

As per everything on the L322, it's not that simple. Made less simple by only having one arm that functions almost properly.

That would involve taking the glass out to get a smooth finish. Otherwise there will be an edge just inside the lip. also I'm a bit impatient, and OCD. Trying to get all the bubble out would just drive me nuts:vb-kaioken:

Just a nice black finish , similar to the current but whole mirror will need done as it's all fading now . Problem is ,it's not easy to match as it's not matte, satin or gloss. Otherwise I would try to match

Cleaned the trim, after the nice guys at the car wash had cleaned her. Which led me to thinking: has anyone managed to paint their wing mirrors? I was thinking plasticote, but not sure it's the right stuff as casing is metal. so maybe smooth hammerite? Any thoughts/successes? Or maybe a lacquer?

It is indeed and i had one just fall off my E Class Merc years ago. Oh how confused I was to find it on the ground. Until I worked out what it was. Good news was, the Merc never required it's services :)

Autodoc has popped up a few times when I've been searching for parts for the L322. There has always been something about it that didn't sit right , so I never ordered. Starting to think I was best to not have.

I drove her over the hill and far away. Ok not that far away, about 30 miles. BUT she started with ease every time I had to go do something. I know it's foolhardy but i feel so confident in her starting, I've actually gone on standby. o_O🙏

I think Delphi and Lemforder are the OEM suppliers to Land Rover. They're what I used to buy, before my indie said they are no longer allowed to let customers purchase items, due to insurance restrictions.
