West Slope Rover asks for LandyZone's assistance.

So this poll has become 'who can con together the most votes from folk who have never been there' rather than the 'top visitor attraction' - brilliant! Oh well it's a free country - sort of.... A

    Has anybody used ......

They are a very friendly and knowledgable bunch - competitive and good advice on price/quality balance. On occasions I've been known to have my own seat at the parts counter and a mug of tea thrust my way.....! (touch wood not had that many failures / needs for a while.....!). A

    Land Rover Customer Services.......

Any dealer should tell you, Customer Service answer seems cobblers, or SMMT website has all recalls listed.......certainly no conspiracy! A

    Dash Cams

No - I think most of the thinking public see these Apps and black boxes for the gross intrusion that they are. I too suspect they will be 'mandated' in our own interests of course over a fairly short period. Dash cams (with movement triggers and incident loops) voluntarily fitted seem to have...

    Handbrake works again!

Mine def has one wide 'key' spline which will only fit in one place (in the matching wide slot!) so idiot proof - just as well with me anywhere near it.... A

    Rushing Cold Starts

+1 - it will be firing on 3 cylinders which aint going to be smooth..... Had 2 duff glow plugs on my TD5 a while back, simple to check and replace and major improvement on pre-heat and starting. Enjoy. A

    RAC gold warranty

Errmmmm.......dare I mention its the Consumer Rights Act 2015 now, and quite detailed rejection repair changes........ Just sayin'.... Seller should certainly be first port of call, but an RAC warranty is probably worth more to back up any repairs that are covered... Cheers, A

    Children in the back

Yep, every opportunity! Spent a happy weekend at the Warwickshire Scout jamboree thing last Summer with 5 or 6 of us reckon we trugged about 300 kids round a gentle off road course.... As for safety......endless hours as a small kid with 4 or 5 of us loose in the back of a mini pickup round...

    Children in the back

Nothing dearer to my heart, but I let them ride motorbikes, horses, and skydive, cycle, cross the road...... Boy do I drive carefully, but never a moment doubt about sitting them in there. Each to their own as I said... Cheers A

    Children in the back

My 5 children from very early ages have traveled in the side facing seats of a series of 110 Csw's, and oddly not killed or injured any of them yet...... I entirely agree lap belts and side facing are not at all ideal from a safety and injury perspective, but we do a variety of other pastimes...

    MOT advisory chassis

As said have a search around for threads on suppliers and cost. For all sorts of daft reasons I went for a LR genuine Xmember, needed long 'legs' to address rusted chassis rails too, and had little choice of fitter (won't be going back....their prep was awful, with masses of rust on 1 year old...

    New box, but sticky gears

I had a 'factory' rebuilt LT77 box on a previous Defender (crumbling first gear or some such, can't remember now), but I was warned it would be stiff for a few hundred miles........ Ye Gods! Stiff! It was a major workout to get ready for each change and a good long breather afterwards - but...
