    No reverse gear??

They're easy to split, the transfer box comes the gear box with about 6/7 pins plus prop-shafts. The gear-box has quite a few about 18 I think, when you split it from the engine the torque converter will stay on the plate on the engine. Also you won't need a torque converter as you wont of burnt...

    No reverse gear??

The V8 auto is the same box I think, it'll be the bell housing and torque converter that will be different. I maybe wrong but I was under the impression from the Ashcrofts site they were the same box.

    No reverse gear??

I did mine from the underside, I'd not long changed the coolant and had the air-con recharged (me just been tight with money lol). I got it about 12inches in the air, the front on axle stands and the back chocked on ramps. You need a engine hoist to lower and lift the gearbox safely. Its a one...

    No reverse gear??

I put a second hand box in mine about a month ago, I found it easier than repairing. Re-con is just to expensive for a old Disco so I'd go for the replace it option. I managed to get a warranty with mine so may-be shop around to get one low mileage. Regards Steve

    V8 200 swap

He's breaking the car thats why I posted, and he might still have everything he requires. His will be a 3.5v8 too Because a 3.9 mixer wont fit but everything else will. Also that will probability be the system not wired into the lambda sensor's which would be easier to install.

    V8 200 swap

Maybe something like this would do you. It isn't that had to fit it if your mechanical minded, and also once fitted you could have it check by someone if your weren't confident that it wont leak.

    Autobox not changing

That is the throttle cable your looking at, if you follow the other cable from the same place in the engine bay you will see that it goes to the gearbox. Just adjust it off it wont hurt anything. As for you fluid level someone has posted on the other thread.

    Autobox not changing

The plastic nut on mine is the throttle cable the one with the two 13mm nuts is the kick-down. Have you adjusted that one

    Autobox not changing

If you get that far to change the pump you may as-well change the gearbox too but first try to adjust the kick-down off it sounds like its stuck open to me. Worth a try anyhow its the one your holding in the top picture. If that don't work it's probably easier to change the box as they are quite...

    Autogas lpg help......

I know it sounds daft but was it empty before the valve is oneway. So if was full before you punchered the pipe it still will be. It should of had a 8mm pipe on before or have you replaced it with 6mm and it measures 8mm with the plastic coating.

Using different size tyres on back and front axles .... is it detramental ??

So what your saying is that you should replace the tyre's on the driven axle/axles at the same time. Because in that case everyone who has a 4X4 needs replace all 4 tyres every time and make sure the spare is the exactly the same tread depth is the same in-case of a puncher. Also he asking about...
