    Does the Diesel auto box still have a vacuum connection to the engine like on the V8's...Many diesels are renound for vacuum pump problems and a low vacuum may cause problems if it is needed to operate the box...?

    Have you checked the engine coolant tempature sensor, that tells the ecu that the engine is cold and increases fuel and idle speed, I would also check and clean your throttle housing and Idle valve if you havent allready?

    Is there any form of lube that can be sprayed into the compressor inlet on a regular basis to help lube it internally or are there any service tips for the compressor to maintain it before it fails apart from keeping the filters clean etc?

    Any good scrappy, they are just bosch plugs as used on alot of european cars, best take a sensor with you for a pattern as many have little tags inside to make them individual...some manufacturers sell them as a mod as they have been gold plated over the years because of connection problems...

    Not too sure if Tim Fry's will be able to give you the AKA code, you may have to go to Stratstone? As fry's are an indepandent dealer, You may be lucky and it all kicks in again, but I would search this thread...P38 Remote Receiver Problems and have a read there too... Dont forget your logbook...

    Hi As allready said you will have to go to the dealers with your logbook for the door key code, You may also have a BECM lock out or out of sync, thats when the unit under the drivers seat is not communicating with the immobiliser, Alot of P38's had issues with the remote reciever and if too...
