EFi Issues driving me to Carbs.

The efi ecu on the 3.5 is very basic. If I remember correctly, the only sensor it uses was the MAF sensor. Timing and ignition is still controlled by the dizzy.

    RR chassis under a 90 pre1998

On a purely legal basis, this vehicle should be on a Q plate as the chassis has been radically altered. Personally, I would not touch a vehicle like this with a barge pole.

EFi Issues driving me to Carbs.

When I did this to mine, it was as easy as fitting a carb intake manifold with carbs and lower pressure fuel pump. On my last Land Rover, I had a 3.9 on carbs.

Freelander 1 auto box will rover 75 fit?

Before changing the gearbox, have you tried replacing the gearbox fluid and filter?

    LED Headlights and Snow

Try replacing the reflector bowls and lenses. I did this to my 1986 110, and the results were amazing, even with standard bulbs.

    Disco 1 V8 LPG wanted

I am after a V8 Disco with LPG. Not too fussed about spec/toys, but must be in good condition with MOT. Not interested in anything that requires work for next MOT, so must have good boot, wings, sills and arches. My budget is £1500

    restricted use agri tax

This is a common myth. Driving a vehicle without tax or MOT cannot invalidate insurance. In some circumstances it is legal to drive a vehicle on the road that does not have tax or MOT, however, a vehicle must have at least 3rd party insurance whenever it driven on the road, without exception...

    spare wheel location

Mines on the bonnet, I don't find the weight a problem, but the missus can't lift it, and the AA guy who came out to fix a split heater hose whilst she was driving whinged like ####.

    Motorbike - Stamford to Aylesbury

A useful bit of info would be to tell us what bike it is, as sometimes size really does matter.

    spanners

When I had to remove those nuts on my vehicle, I used lots of Silkopen, a blowtorch, and a 27mm socket.

Safe to lift engine / gearbox using rear bracket only?

I wouldn't trust that bracket alone for lifting engine and gear box together, and I hope this isn't a stupid question, but why are you trying to lift both together? Edit, Forgot to add, check max lifting capacity for the engine lift. The rated capacity of the crane is with the arm at minimum...

can any one suggest anything with my td4 freelander 1

Pull the injectors and test them. Sounds very much like one or more of them is faulty.

    Help starting!!!

Rocking is unlikely to do anything in an auto. First of all, check the battery really is ok. A bolloxed battery will often show 12-13 volts when tested, but shows a very significant drop when under load. Check battery leads are tight, and that the lead to the starter is tight and has a good...

    The F**K is this???

I have driven a couple of PS10's and I really quite like them. Although based on the Defender and series 3, they are not really like either to drive. The comfort is a definite improvement over the series 3, and comparable to the Defender as they are on parabolic rather than leaf springs. The...

    The F**K is this???

Not out of business, exactly, just taken over by IVECO who now build a version called the Massif.

    The F**K is this???

I know, you have to actually use the dipstick to check the oil, rather than just examine the drips :p I do like the fact that the back door and interior is designed specifically to allow a standard euro pallet to be slid in though.
