Who can do a EFI conversion for me..

It dynoed at 195bhp and 245 lb/ft. The top end difference isn't that much, but compared to the standard engine, the mid range torque and power are hugely different, peak power is at 4300 rpm and peak torque at 2400 rpm.

Who can do a EFI conversion for me..

I wouldn't bother with EFI, my modded 3.9 runs on carbs beautifully and produces more power than the original EFI unit. Although it does have a piper cam, 10.5:1 heads, bigger carb jets, K&N filters and a modded exhaust.

Are these lights CE marked, and do you supply the levelling and washer unit to make them road legal?

    1987 2.5 petrol - keep or change?

With a 200Tdi, you should get around 30 mpg, and a very useful increase in power & torque.

    Do you trust your snorkel!?

I haven't bothered with a snorkel on my 110. If the water is deep enough to get sucked into the engine, the dizzy will already be under water and the engine will have stopped. Having said that, I regularly drive through water up to 3 ft deep without any problems other than wet feet.

    recovering vehicles from flood/snow winch?

I have an 8000lb winch on my 110, and with a snatch block, I have found it more than capable of hauling a 110 that is buried up to it's axles in mud.

Gotta be a ringer? Anyone on here know it before or after?

This is not "someones attempt at a modern 90 based on a series", for the simple reason, that it is not a series chassis it has been built on. As for proof, the seller has kindly posted pictures of the chassis that clearly show that it is a Defender chassis and not a Series chassis. They have...

    battery going flat

The antenna should be fixed to inside of the the rear offside passenger window, look for a thin black strip that looks like a rear window heater element. Simply removing the alarm system fuse may well stop the problem, but the inconvenience of having to replace it and re-sync the alarm every...

    battery going flat

It may sound silly, but try disconnecting the antenna for the remote locking/alarm. These can pick up a lot of RF interference that can cause the ECU to repeatedly cycle on/off.

    Defender crossmember query

Looks like a very nice vehicle, the guy is trying it on by saying a new crossmember devalues it. Looking at similar age and condition vehicles, I would say that £6500-£7000 would be a fair price. I wouldn't let it go for much less than that.

Gotta be a ringer? Anyone on here know it before or after?

There is #### all hybrid about that vehicle. Everything on it is from a 90" Defender. That chassis is not a cut down RR chassis or a coil converted Series chassis, it is a Defender chassis.

Apart from the Defender body, chassis, engine, suspension and transmission

    Discovery 1 wading depth

I don't know about never, I frequently go on my own as much of my work involves driving down them to get to the places I am working. Personally I would say never go alone unless you have the experience and equipment to self recover, and have a means of alerting someone if it goes really tits up.

    Discovery 1 wading depth

I have gone as deep as the wheel arch on my 110, which is about 3ft. Wouldn't go any deeper as that would mean that my dizzy as well as my feet would be under water. :D

Have you told you insurance company about your modifications?

For some that do live in towns, yes a car is a luxury, but not everyone lives in a town. For me, my Land Rover isn't a luxury, it is absolutely vital. I don't have a fixed work address, and my work is entirely outdoors based. One day I could be carrying 7 or 8 passengers and all of their kit...

    What winch power?

I have a 8000lb Ramsey on my 110. For vehicles that are not totally bogged to their axles, a single line pull from that is usually perfectly adequate. For vehicles that are well & truly stuck, then a double line pull with a snatch block is needed. I also have a twin battery setup with deep cycle...
