You know, thinking about it, it might be wise not to fit a straight through system.... When my defender has had it's heart transplant it will need to go through an inspection to get it re-registered, to make sure it is compliant with every stupid french law they can throw at it, i may replace...

The 300tdi tailpipe looks like it might be quite fiddly to set up, it looks more like a series 3 exhaust :D

I've had a look around and i think i would prefer to fit a td5 backbox, but would it fit? ie from the manifold, to a 300tdi defender downpipe, 300tdi middle section pipe and then td5 tailpipe. Would they all fit together no probs?

If i were to fit a 300tdi to my 1986 90, i would like to fit a straight thru exhaust pipe. I've seen them on paddocks for OK prices but they were for 200 and 300tdi ones which had the later exhaust brackets, so where can i find a straight thru pipe for my landy?

Still reduced temperature as i said :rolleyes: Anyway fitting a 200 or 300tdi will be much less hastle than this, and now that i know it's legal i'm gonna take the shot! hopefully it passes inspection......
