    front window drive

Agreed. I've had a couple of cable kits snap after not too much time and they're gits to fit. Get the whole thing pre-assembled, all will be well :)

Don't think you can. Get a whole new regulator and cable assembly. Not too bad a price on Fleabay if you have a look.

Took my front brakes apart only to find the guide pins are rusted and shagged. New disks, pads and guide pins on order.

    Heated Seat Switch

Mine was the same as this. Blanking plugs with wired connectors behind them, a connector poking up through the carpet under each front seat, but not connected to anything as I had fabric seats with no heaters. I swapped them for leather seats and they had the heaters in them. Connected straight...

    Battery Type TD4

I've got the Bosch type 096 one in mine after a couple of budget batteries failed prematurely. The Bosch is great and has performed very well.

Ah, well that one is usually down to the council not fixing potholes. So sometimes, yes, you can get it done for free by claiming back off them :D Not that I have. There are some proper muppets on there.

Wot he said. If it's not that do a leak back test to diagnose which injector/s have failed.

    Fuel Pump loud

Not sure what the arrangement is on yours, but I have two LP pumps, one in the fuel tank and one under the bonnet. It's a Td4 on the cusp of when they moved the under bonnet one to the wheelarch. My front one went very noisy a year or so ago and, suspecting it was about to fail, I bought a new...

    My 2006 TD4 Auto HSE

15 mins away for me ;) They are good. I do most repairs myself, but there have been times I've needed a garage to do things (Td4 clutch and an injector, both in deep winter) and they've been brilliant. I've had parts off them before and Disco repairs when I used to have one of those. Their...

    My 2006 TD4 Auto HSE

Did I read earlier somewhere that you had this work dome athe Terrain Vehicles? If it's the same one I've used from time to time in Hastings they're really good and know their stuff.

    battery life

My original LR battery lasted 8 years I think before I started replacing it with cheapish ones. They are crap so I then went for the Bosch as, at the time, it had the greatest Ah and CCA rating I could find sub-£100 (I think I paid £95.00 for it).

    battery life

Don't know about Halfords batteries, but I had this problem and went through two lesser quality batteries. So a couple of years ago I put a Bosch one on my Td4 and it's been excellent. Got it from Euro parts.
