yep. but considering my rear wheel drive BMW which gets zero traction in anything other than dry conditions never failed to get off the same part of the field it doesnt exactly inspire me with confidence in the freelander. dont get me wrong, the freelander is a cracking car, but its not an off...

personally i wouldnt even dream of a wooden floor. the stresses that are put through the boot floor are far higher than you think, and wood just wouldn't stand the test of time. As for stainless steel you'll probably find it will accelerate corrosion of mild steel. have to check the galvanic...
