It apparently needs a new gearbox, but still drives and has a private plate. Asked if its a 300 or TD5, and is apparently "open to offers".

Well appliances permanently connected should be fitted and comissioned by a certified engineer/electricain. So they'd carry out all the test though the comsumer unit to verify that if a fault occurs the RCD and/or the MCB would trip. So that would be out of a "competent" technicains boundries to...
I'm PAT test certififed. Most PAT testing can be done by a COMPETENT person (someone how knows how electricery works, even if they are not qualified in anyway)

I fitted a new panhard bar and replaced the trackrod ends as per buster buses guides.
took it in to get the tracking aligned, quick bomb up the road and then back home: was ok up to 50, then 55, then 60 and the wobble made itself known, but at least this time stop when slowed down to...
cheers, got it fitted, just a crow bar under the sway arm and pushed down on it joint, then tightened it up.
not the best job to do in the snow, freezing now, time for a brew!
