Evening chaps, anybody out there done one and do you have some tips. My indie reckons my slightly rough idle which I ( to my shame) have studiously ignored is a lack of bumps. He says he thinks the engine is OK otherwise. So I'm going to get cracking on it soon. Thanks in advance.

I remember one of the lads had a portable record player - 9v played 45's - of course we had it in our cars and this would have been around 1970 ish. We had to mind the bumps though but said lad had an A40 with no shock absorbers but lots of rust.

Mine plays 78's ok, 'til the 35 mph malarkey turns up on the dash - and then the needle skips about a bit:(

Indy once told me a slipped liner presents just like a failed head gasket - my engine is a little "tappy" and uses a little coolant but the needle stays very firmly at 12 oclock and I have done two or three block tests over the years which have been negative.
