    TD5 Coolant Leak

Behind the manifold there is a core plug as well, although slightly to the rear of your pic https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/td5-head-core-plug-behind-manifold.369310/post-5120941

    Compressor outlet

In my experience the only thing that will suffer is an impact gun. Also, thats an unusual place to take the air from the tank? My understanding is that the outlet is at the top so less moisture and debris comes from the tank to your filter/water trap

Cassette / 6 CD radio upgrade

You dont need one. As Nodge says, single DIN is same size as yours

TD5 electronic faults - any ideas?

I had a similarish but not identical thing last week on my disco, testing for power to and from the inertia switch is a good start https://landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/yet-another-hazards-inertia-issue.390500

    Head Gasket Replacement?

plastic paint stripper wheel for a drill gets it off. I have a lathe so put the valve in that and just push the wheel onto it by hand

Disco 2 Yet another hazards/inertia issue

Yeah much easier than finding new wire and running it to the other side neatly

Disco 2 Yet another hazards/inertia issue

Job done and a repair I'm happy with. Inertia switch relocated to near fusebox. Thx @sierrafery for the input 😀

Disco 2 Yet another hazards/inertia issue

Thanks, I will double check voltage at the fusebox plug (I only checked at the fuse) although I had kind of ruled it out by not having continuity from 557/3 to the switch. Worth checking regardless I agree

Disco 2 Yet another hazards/inertia issue

So I have trawled through all of the previous threads about hazards flashing & fuel pump not running. Engine cranks which rules out immobiliser, turning ign on unlocks doors and starts hazards flashing, lock/unlock ign on doesn't reset them only disconnecting battery does. So I have tested for...

    Discovery II - Tyre Comparison

All I can add is that BFG KO2's are very hard wearing, expect at least 50k from a set. I can't hear them over the sound of a TD5 at motorway speeds, although maybe that may be different for a v8. They are also expensive at ~200 quid each. Also standard size is 235/70R16

    1997 P38A DT Overheating

Where was the coolant leaking from? Water pump is a possibility, plastic impeller ones can be unreliable plus they are cheap and easy to replace

What is the correct way to bleed a series 3 clutch?

Best way is to keep repeating this step (needs 2 people) until no more air bubble come out. Pumping by yourself can work however if you have a non return valve on the end of your hose, but air can get sucked in past the bleed nipple threads. It will take more than 3 pumps to bleed it!

    Yes

rear brake bleed nipple nut rounded

I know you want to avoid doing wheel cylinders til later, but replacing them now is only a couple more bolts and seeing as you have to bleed anyway 💁‍♂️

Who's Air Filter Is It Anyway

Maybe but I think Land Rovers are unreliable enough without taking attributes from a Lotus 😅

Who's Air Filter Is It Anyway

Actually if memory serves it looks like the mk1 Rover 800, which would also make sense with it being in a Lotus I guess

Who's Air Filter Is It Anyway

Google shows it to be from a Lotus Elan?!

    Overheating 300TDI

Looks pretty clear where combustion has been getting to the coolant. Going back to gauge/sender you need the right sender to match your gauge. If the vehicle was always a 300tdi then you dont need to worry about this
