Pretty sure they aren't. Certainly not the same as D1

    Front wipers not returning

Its part of the motor, and for the effort involved just as well replace with a new motor, they aren't expensive

    Indicators not showing on dash

Pretty sure they are LEDs in the cluster and not replaceable, also seems unlikely that both would fail at the same time. Are your side repeaters working correctly? Have you put LEDs in any on the indicators? Would be worth checking the interior fusebox for water ingress

Disco 2 wipers seem to have jumped a cog.

I didnt loosen the bonnet bolts as I had a bad experience 20 years ago not being able to open a bonnet after I had moved it! I should get over it really 😅 On mine every pivot was worn out and really sloppy.I took it apart to replace the motor as it was really slow and didn't park, it was lucky I...

Disco 2 wipers seem to have jumped a cog.

When I did it I removed A pillar trim but didnt loosen the bonnet bolts. A pillar trim is a nuisance and getting the scuttle trim out isnt much fun either

Disco 2 wipers seem to have jumped a cog.

Also, the linkage doesnt go to and fro, its a circular motion. For the wipers to be at a different position at each end of the sweep means something is wrong with the linkage itself. If it had moved on the motor shaft (which is splined) it would only affect the park position

Disco 2 wipers seem to have jumped a cog.

Theres no plastic parts it's an all metal assembly. The linkage is identical to D1 only the motor plug varies. I had to replace mine as there was so much wear the wipers could be moved 6" or so, but fortuantely I had a D1 one on the shelf from a long scrapped 300tdi

TD5 temp slightly lower than it should be

Unlikely to be reading lower than usual as TD5s dont have a proper gauge, it only has positions. Off, cold, normal and too late it's cooked

    D2 front driveshaft seal

So job done, I will agree with @Anaconda that the NAK ones require more force to put in. I had lost about 300ml of oil. One of my mudshields has a bit of a groove worn in it but I wasn't to concerned as it wasn't leaking before I replaced them first time

    D2 front driveshaft seal

So 1 old seal is out now, and measures approx 35.4. probably was near 35 when it was fitted. I think the manufacturer is BJS, but it's pretty small letters

    New seals are measuring 35.9

    D2 front driveshaft seal

I'm now at 2500 miles since replacement and the genuines are leaking  Got a pair of the NAKs here so thats a job for today. Will investigate and report findings

    Recovery from Germany required

+1 for trying to get a local repair/gearbox swap. I'd imagine even an Ashcroft box and fitting would be cheaper than recovery back

    2.0MPi losing power head scratcher

Could be a misfire under load, so plugs and leads first stop. Worth watching the engine tickover when its really dark outside, you can sometimes spot a stray bit of HT leaking

Are Dowty / bonded seals Fuel resistant ?

Annealing the washers and refitting them should do the job, quenching doesnt make a difference but does clean them up better.
