    Seems likely esp if someone has been in there before. When I stripped mine you couldn't get both pins in at the same time, on reassembly i lined them up and all was fine

    Sounds like you would be pushing against the tensioner to line up the hole so no big deal? When I had mine apart the top sprocket bolts were a bit mangled so it didnt line up perfectly

    I thought the input shaft was different but I maybe confused with earlier ones. Is the clutch plate definately in the right way around?

    You can't get both of those things at once unfortunately. To get a higher top speed (or quieter engine noise at cruising speed) would reduce the engine's performance on hills without changing down a gear. FYI the choice of transfer box affects this, the gearbox doesn't

    If your battery is a bit weak and the voltage drops under 10.5 when cranking then the injectors won't fire. There is also a thing with starter motor affecting something...CPS signal maybe. Voltage drop would be first suspect tho, and easy to rule out or confirm

    Did you check the A frame bushes & balljoint? How much play is there in the diff when rotating it? I think up to 45 degrees is "normal"
