How good are Flatdog stainless decat pipes?

Hi guys, How do these Flatdog pipes compare to the likes of terrafirma? Me gearbox is off at the moment so I thought I may as well fit a decat and straight through pipe. Trustworthy or not? Will.

    how would i know??

Another clueless tyremonger trying to kill your IRD . Get a set of four good tyres that will last you and don't look back. Also make sure you get them rotated every few k to make sure they wear evenly.

Fitted bigger tyres, dramatic ride improvement.

Oh yes it's definitely the different wheels that did it. It still drives nicely thanks to the remap and the steering doesn't really feel any different. It's a little noisier but once the revs climb over 2000 you don't hear it. Still a quiet ride even with the knobbly tyres :).

Fitted bigger tyres, dramatic ride improvement.

Hi guys, Went from standard size tyres on 18" alloys to 245/75r16 KM2's this week, and the difference is massive. I haven't lifted it (though may do by 1" down the line) and the ride comfort as noticably better - all the nasty knocks, shocks and jolts on the **** roads round here have been...

I've still got the Hippo too! For now..

    Aftermarket standard front coil springs?

Yes I've got 18* hurricanes on there, but I have a set of 16 inch alloys that I got from fleabay. Should look really nice with the tyres.

    Modular wheels and tyres

I have 215/70r16 BFG AT's on mine, no negative performance changes only a stunning drive in mud and snow :). Really adds to the look too, not too big but you definitely notice the size difference. About 1.8 inches larger in measured diameter than my road tyres. There are modulars for the...

Pic request: anyone got 245/75/16's on standard height suspension?

Well that satisfies me :). Personally I think it looks great without the lift, real solid looking and less arse to deal with.

    Aftermarket standard front coil springs?

Very true, they'll be filthy the first weekend after they've been fitted :D!! I'm more concerned with improving the ride - hopefully the larger tyres, smaller alloys, new coils and shocks will smooth things out a bit. I've been spoiled by the Freelander, they really do ride beautifully...

    Aftermarket standard front coil springs?

I just found them too, cheers mate!! Looks like BM do some, that's a relief. Hey I don't suppose you know what kind of paint would be suitable for spraying them? I quite like the blue HD bearmach ones ;).

    Aftermarket standard front coil springs?

Hi guys, Yer must be gettin' sick of me by now :P! I'm having a real bugger of a time finding the info I need, lots of unlcear info on searches and google. If I just want to replace the front coils with new standard ones (they are sagging a bit) what are my options for aftermarket ones? OEM...

Boot size 3 door vs 5 door

I'm not so sure they are different, it's just the roof comes orf the 3 door one - I bought a boot liner from a mate who hasa 3dr and it fits in my 5dr perfectly. Tis a ****part one though, but actually quite good. Must be the eggception to the rule.

    Options for 25mm lift?

Yeh I was looking for some aftermarket standard springs and they do have them but I have no idea what brand they are. Don't want to end up with ****part nes. +2 lift is a bit much for me, I don't really need it if I'm going for 245/75 - the pic you posted was good as yours looked just right...

Pic request: anyone got 245/75/16's on standard height suspension?

Looks great! Seriously really nice! So no rubbing or adverse effects then? Did you mod the spare wheel carrier? Anything else :)? Ah poo doesn't look like you can get KM2's in that size :(. However 245/75 is only a smidge smaller in diameter - 3mm or so. So it's basically the same and that's a...

    First time offroading

Looks brilliant mate, Hippo's will surprise you off road. Just don't take them anywhere with a gritty/sandy soil composition. That murders all sorts on them.

    Options for 25mm lift?

They're sagging pretty badly, the shocks are on their way out too. I was hoping to replace it all and get a 2" lift into the bargain.

    Options for 25mm lift?

Cheers for that, I had planned on fitting those parts if was going to fit 40mm lift :). I'd like front spings that are more or less standard softness but with the 40mm lift - if such a thing is possible! If I do load it up I've got the air suspension on the back. Ideally I'd like to maintain...

    Options for 25mm lift?

It's the castor correction arms that put me off, £250 for something that I'm not sure makes any difference. But if you really haven't had any issues then that does make me more confident. What springs did you use on the front?

    Options for 25mm lift?

Well looks like bearmach have a nice choice of springs: Page 44 - Discovery Still not sure what to do about the rear airbag spacers though.
