Gearbox is crap, in our village is a fella who works for LR and is always coming home in new LR stuff - to his credit his daily is a new Defender and the first three changes can be heard every day as he goes up the street. Synchro is clearly an optional extra!

Its funny how these defects creep up on you. I found I was constantly turning the wheel not appreciating there was at least 4" of free play in the steering. Turned out one track rod end was totally knackered and the panhard bushes were allowing visible movement of the axle laterally...

No its the inlet manifold - what may be confusing you (aside of the lack of an impeller) is the turbo waste gate T off is now on the manifold rather than the turbo - it reads boost as it is at the manifold rather than the turbo.

Hopefully not - The pump only ever handles warm/hot oil and although it was brand new I had the principle seals changed to Viton before installation. I am expecting it to handle both fuels perfectly well. The valves fitted are similarly suited to both fuels....
