What did you do with your Range Rover today

I'm in enough trouble for buying the rangie and making her climb in it without adding to it. Luckily she hasn't yet worked out that "It's cheaper than a set of winter wheels and tyres for the M5" was a complete lie.

    can i use it.

Just as a matter of interest, there is someone on Fleabay selling brand new genuine remotes, less key blades but still with the barcode stickers on. Can one of the BECM geniuses on here use the numbers on that sticker to program those remotes into a BECM?

    BECM - prophylactic

In terms of cooling fans, BMW use a small fan in their electronics boxes. Has the abilty to attach a flexible duct to it as well which may be usefull to keep things quiet. If you where really clever and your air con worked you could use it to duct air conditioned and therefore dehumidified air...

    Newbie seeking advice

If you are buying a late model one it's worth paying the premium and buying one from a stealer, that way you will end up with a manufacturers warranty, which normally you can extend year by year up until a certain age limit, ours is ten, dunno about land rover extended warranties.

    BECM - prophylactic

I've considered relacquering the boards in mine. Along with a couple of packs of dessicant. Keeping your car water tight helps and working airconditioning tends to keep stuff dry as it is a dehumidifier. Sealing boxes subject to temperature variations is a good way of wrecking it with...

    unknown switch on console

I think that applies to anything in an L322. At least with a P38 it's just a lottery as to weather it's going to function, not function or do something completely un-related.

    knocking on startup and juddering

Dunno if this steers you in the right direction or not, but of late we have had a few gas converted Cayenne's in with cold start misfires and injector codes and everyone so far has been down to bad connections on the lpg kit where the original injectors have been disconnected and plugged into...

Injector malfunction means the injector has failed electrically, or the connection to it. Flushing will not help i'm afraid.

It adds to the thrill of ownership the lottery of is it or isn't it. Bit like Russian Roulette.
