The answer is ...The ns front drive shaft had snapped inside the cv joint .. could have been like that for years .A new shaft and new cv joint all fixed now £223 later at a indy ..just the eas left now to do if i can find anything to penertrate eas ecu..

paddocks sell them 60quid i think

strange ..someone has put in a inline fuse on by the relay..makes no sense :confused:

Hello. right my car is at a indy for repairs..because of lack of 4 wheel drive and eas niggles. They cant access the eas ecu to see any faults that might be stored.But i can acess it with the free one of the internet .. I know other garages have tried it and failed with testbook also..I DONT...

What was the rangerover that clarkson had. I know it was a classic but do you reckon it had the orignal air suspension.. this episode had the 3 4x4s going through the jungle hammond had the jeep.may had the suzuki jimmy..

Just a little update i booked it into a indy for next week for a investagation.. I have a feeling its going to be a flexiable friend time:eek:

just been in the garage the range still in the air the front wheels off the ground .the wife holding one wheel me free spining the other side and vice versa nothing the front prop wasnt moving they is no noise from the front diff either ....and good news it did pass its mot:confused:

When I put it into drive, on four axle stands, the rear wheels turned but only the front nearside wheel turned and it was very slow. I could stop the front wheel turning with my hand. Any suggestions on what it could it be e.g. VC or front diff, the front prop was still turning? Thanks

This morning at the mot station the chap was doing the front wheels lifted on a jacks . He was spinning the offside front wheel but the nearside wasnt even moving or vice versa . the props are all there.then he checked the back wheels they span in opposite directions when turning the offside...

also when in access mode when you press the up button it goes into motorway mode and sets it self in that position and all other positions do the same..

alright then swopped eas ecu car went into eas fault all 4 eas lights came and beeping away so guess the old ecu was faulty..rob cavendish..4 lights came on eas manual light came on. started car the lights for access flashed and normal driving mode goes out and car drops down

i wondered that ..i still have the original one i might just put it back and see what happens..every time you start her it automatically goes in access mode..does any know what the timer relay does ?

the original eas ecu was deemed faulty and was replaced with a second hand one does it need calibrating to suit my car..cheers for you reply

thanks for your reply . the bags are new the car doesnt lean or sag over nite. but it always goes in to access mode when you start her so you have to press the setting button everytime you pull off .but it does adjust its self when on the motoway over 56mph and when you slow down and rises back...

hello again ..i took off the exhaust filter on the block. I can not feel any air escaping but the suspension keeps moving and adjusting its self when stationary..is this normal? but what type of time gap should i have between compressor runnings..on flat ground and stationary. cheers

right then my range rover 96 ..compresser run time how long does your eas pump run for? for example mine on level ground stationary engine running. will pump for 9 seconds turn off for 6 seconds and run for 9 seconds off for 6 you get the picture continusly..i have checked for leaks with soppy...

IS there a emergency fuel cut off switch on the front off the car it kills the fuel supply if you have a head on accident.
