Have you got the newest tyres (with deepest tread) on the rear axle?? If not they will wear rapidly. I had an original diff (early type) on my vehicle for 111,000 and no issues with tyre wear. I only changed to a later one due to noise, which was a wheel bearing and not the diff!!

The one i have has ISO connectors. If you can photograph your current one you could compare. Should be a straight swap.

Just had a closer look.... Those pads are for a '97 to 2000 freelander. The discs may be for the same year. Is yours post 2000??

'97 to '00 use one set of discs and pads, late 2000 on use different pads and discs. Have you got any part numbers?? manufacturer of pads?? Can you see a label with freelander 97-00 or 01>?? Petrol and TD use the same pads and discs - just the age that alters the type. Regards, Steve
