I can highly recommend EBC Green Stuff pads bit pricey but good if not go for a reconised brand like Ferodo, Delphi shouldn't go far wrong

I had cooper STT like you said work well in conditions the only thing i found was that i didn't get many miles out of them compared to the BFG would be interesting to see how many you get.

yes you shouldn't be struggling with that setup something else is fundamentally wrong / not performing 100% especially if your still unhappy after changing back to a 1.4 !
