    I can highly recommend EBC Green Stuff pads bit pricey but good if not go for a reconised brand like Ferodo, Delphi shouldn't go far wrong

    I had cooper STT like you said work well in conditions the only thing i found was that i didn't get many miles out of them compared to the BFG would be interesting to see how many you get.

    would it not be an idea to fit a secondary smaller battery under the bonet for example just to run the alarm system etc.

    yes your probably right having driven both a 1.2 and 1.4 on 33's a 33" tyre is a big as you really want to go on a 1.2 box I'm looking / could fit larger tyres now i have gone back to a 1.4 running 33"s
