    or drive without the self cancel i haven't missed it and on some junctions where i turn right just after a roundabout still traveling left i no longer have the horrible clicking / sound of plastic breaking.

    As old fogey said i believe you can drive to a pre arranged appointment. MOT or SVA my uncle drove his kit car to his without any issue and he is one for researching this kind of crap and following the book.

    Ive just been doing some research on towing capacity even more reason to keep the old girl on the road these new tin cans might have the power but not the strength I'm guessing. The Mitsubushy Outlander Hybrid thing can't even pull itself by the sounds of it.

    Yes a puddle in footwell would be master or in that area if the slave leaked there would be nothing inside the cab

    cheap parts can be done diy. i found i t a bit fidly TBH but was one of the first job i had ever done.

    Agree with the others i think it looks nice with the chequer plate. as for the comments regarding hiding damage etc I would be looking at out riggers chassis bulkhead etc before worrying about a ding / paint scarped off some sills which are easily replaceable and upgradeable.

    yes you can do it all from underneath but the linkage and difflock switch are a fiddle and easier from above. You only need to remove the middle seat / access panel. Thats how i done mine a few months back Remove prop shafts, remove centre access panel in-between the seats, then hand brake...

    I Would sooner a regular MOT and qualified inspector check my car over once a year compared to a jumped up jobs worth / police officer pulling me over for a road side test etc.

    Unless your front axle has been updated to match the rear i believe you will have clearance problems on the front hub with Freestyle type alloys And i believe changed when the 300tdi was introduced (circa 94) please correct if I'm wrong
