The plug on top is egr throttle sensor - not required for it to run. The one at the back of the pump is the stop solenoid. Your new engine has an anti tamper solenoid your old engine has the standard "one wire" solenoid. Mechanically I think they are interchangeable. Information given on this...

As suggested I would measure from body to ground and chassis to ground both sides and see if any difference. Can also visually check the outriggers are straight and everything is sat where it should be. Also check you haven't got a broken spring!

Best way to check front bushes and joints is to have someone rock the steering side to side while you stick your head under and have a look. This will show bad panhard bushes very obviously.

Any lift at all shows that the joint has failed. If the ball joints are gone I'll bet you all find some front bushes needing attention as well.

Same here bought one a couple of months ago, got it off ebay for about £40. Standard cap fits 300tdi d1, took about 10mins on my own to totally flush and bleed entire system well built as well looks like it's going to last.

Use gl5 in tcase and diffs on my 2 discos with no problems for a couple of years now. Not for use in the gearbox though, I use DII or The Morris lodexol stuff for r380s.

Having two circuits dosen't mean you can knowingly drive with a brake fault. If you're losing fluid then it stays on the drive untill it's fixed.
