Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander off full message

I've found that mine tends to regenerate the DPF after the engines up to temp and then the 30 mins or so at speed, sometimes if i want it to clean out the DPF i run it at 3000 revs at 70mph, so staying in 4th gear although it is a 6speed manual or that needs to be done if the "restricted...

The proudly owner of a LR

I would add Rimmer Bros (based in Lincolnshire) as another potential source of parts they ship all over the world, I’ve used them myself and I’ve heard only good things about them

Admittedly this week rather than today .. took it for its MOT a lovely chap small Independent garage servicing & repairs plus MOT work only , who was word of mouth recommended charged £47 and as he says “your paying me for my time so if it’s right I’ll pass it , rather than the nationals at £29...

    key fob

Perhaps as the OP hasn’t responded yet he’s realised clucking on the openpadlock symbol doesn’t lock the car and discovered that the closed padlock does the trick.. my keyfob has lost the paint outlines so at first I’d click on the wrong bit quite a few times.. but eventually worked it out and...

Freelander 2 (LR2) Temperature Related Power Loss Woes

Sadly well beyond my knowledge really but as happens in standing traffic wondering if it could be a heat or temp sensor somewhere that then puts the car into a low power mode to “protect” the engine ? Or a sensor the checks the fans perhaps telling the car they have stopped so it wants to not go...

Freelander 2 (LR2) Car went for it's MOT and I was told it failed and needed all this

I’d second what Interceptorxj said check on line to see if the dodgy mechanic added his fails to the gov website , do let us all know and either way I’d report him as you now know he made it all up , as I posted in what I did today mine passed it’s MOT with a recommended local man who charges...

Code P2456 then P244A help needed

An update yesterday i managed to get a good inspection of the upper rubber hoses and found a small split in one of them by feeling with my bare fingers as the split was on the side facing away from my vantage point looking upwards from under and in the wheel arch. I'd taken the wheel off and...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Gained a great sense of acheivement having driven over 100 miles today knowing that I had successfully changed all the brake discs, pads and handbrake shoes ...slowing down and using the handbrake on a steep hill at traffic lights and not an inch of creep in sight ..
