had the same a few weeks ago, took the route of replacing the condensor, reciever/dryer and txv valve myself. the quotes i got were £400+ +vat both myself & others have a few posts of the forum with work instuctions good luck ;-)

strike three: they really, really want my money! there’s a faulty valve in the system not in stock and its going to cost £350~ish (that’s parts & labour) ~ it's got to go!!!! it's a money pit

strike two: lr really want my money!! they say the cause of the problem is over pressure & they WON'T let me have it back with gas in the system, unless they can fix the problem GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Been to LR and got the aircon serviced (£59 incl fVAT), but they say there's something wrong as it won't go below 17 degree C. they recon the compressor isn't running long enough? ('O' rings replaced during rebuild & no leaks / pressure drops detected) now i can think of a few things...

Mine was a right bugger to start after a few fills from our local te$co, especially when below 1/4 tank. Had to drain & flush the tank and replace the filters. Also had to do the same on the cobra and blade. . . As for the air in the fuel line, lets just say that isn't helping matters. Check...

Was thinking of replacing the condenser myself, is the anything to watch out for? Also, when replaced, need I get the system gassed immediately?
