i dont think it should really matter as long as you had load i.e the vehicle lowered down not on the jack, does it have the engine and all in, if so that should be enough to load up the springs mate. Tony.

i binned the mechanical fuel pump on my diesel Ural truck.

i once had a temp sensor attached to the outside of a gearbox and it read 90 degrees c, so yeah it should be normal.

blank it off, as the intake will suck the air through the pipe instead of through the breather, and you wont have a negative pressure in the crankcase. oh and try to put proper clamps where the fuel filter is as they are for water irrigation in ya garden.
