    Indepent Dealers and Ratings Board

Hi Was looking at Rangerovers.net and they have a board specifically for independant dealers broken down by State (Well in the US it kind of makes sense). Would it make sense for a board that dealt with this along with the ability for it to accumulate stars from each member (only one vote...

OK Latest Update Have ordered the new pollen filters and plenum filter as looking through rangerovers.net guides replacing the pollen filters seems VERY easy and the plenum filter as little more complicated but not tricky. Anyone have any advice before they arrive as to difficult spots...

Manual to Electric seats on P38

Hi wills Not taken the seat off yet to have a look but I wondered would it be possible to retrofit a used (H)iline Becm in place? What do you think? As I have power to the seats it should be a swap and some CPU changes but would that do it, or is it not even worth trying? Cheers Adam

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

I will be kind here for your simplistic brain. Tyres, as well as having a diameter, width and height, also have a speed rating such as 'H' or 'V', it is this factor that determines the speed limiter, not the miss-match. The majority of Range Rover owners will never want or try to go over 100...

Head and Brake Lights flashing when locking

Hi That might be a good shout, guy I bought it from says it always happens after going to his local (Not LR Familiar) garage. Could it be the alternator not doing a good enough job, or is it more likely to be the battery? Might be due to the hot-starting problem I have on my list to fix...

    p38 reliability

Do a search in the forums for diagnostic stuff and see what turns up top notch faultmate stuff is £500 or so, EAS Kicker made by the same people is £200 ish both the Dog's but you pay for it. Ebay source a couple of systems but different people rate them or hate them Cheers Adam

    p38 + larger fmic= more mpg ?

Yep Intercooler puts more air in chamber means better burning of diesel/petrol which if you back off the pedal will mean more MPG. Typical quotes I have seen online vary from about £650 to £750 to supply and fit larger IC. Anyone else got any ideas? Cheers Adam

Parrafin? that a good solvent? No kidding about melting the head, post I read said it was like driving with the choke (If you remember that you are at least as old as me :)) on full all the time, no surprise it knackered the engine at all..... Live and learn i suppose. Cheers Adam

    p38 + larger fmic= more mpg ?

No kidding :) Bound to, also a lot of people on here rate ITG air filters that would also increase the throughput of air to use in conjunction with the IC to maximise benefit and also a lot cheaper than a bigger IC, not as much increase though :(

Mate so unlucky there struggled to get there and fell at the last hurdle. I am pleased? to tell you that it was in fact a Daewoo Tacuma 1.6 SE that was given as a gift 18 months ago, spent £1800 over that time and getting custom made exhaust as no longer shipped old model, service etc then...

    p38 + larger fmic= more mpg ?

Hi If by fmic you mean intercooler then lots of sites offer combined intercooler upgrade and chip which remaps the fuel delivery meaning less gearchange and no or little increase in MPG, drive more sensibly with the extra power and you can indeed get savings. Cheers Adam

    Foultrousers

Hi there Can't help personally but you can download the official workshop manual from a link in this forum that will under the braking repair section detail the entire process and parts. LRO replaced the brakes on its 98? DT with EBC pads and discs in July issue I think so that is possible...

Rewmer Thanks again. I will have to get around to ordering some plenum foam and now pollen filters so if you know any good cheap suppliers that would be handy. On page two of the post I have a picture of a big empty space below and behind the EAS box, directly in front of the firewall on...
