Check for 12v at the bulb holder, and rig a temporary earth.

I meant the maximum rear axle weight is higher by about 300kg and the gvw by nearly 500kg on 2006 td4 and V6, so LR recommend higher rear tyre pressures when fully loaded

44psi on the rears is for MY2006 Td4 and V6 with higher rear axle and gvw when fully loaded.

When the wiper is turned off, the ccu waits for the wiper to reach the vertical position, then reverses the motors direction. This throws an eccentric cam that increases the sweep of the wiper so it sits off the glass. It could be the cam in the motor thats seized.

Fuel Burning Heater fuel pump.

The PTC heater is on the fuel pump circuit, so if the heater fan is on and the heater knob on warm, the battery will have to power that and the glow plugs on pre start warm up. Try turning the heater fan off before turning the ignition on for a cold start.
